Eligibility Criteria
- Ph.D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout. Ph.D. should have been awarded on or before the last date of application.
- For Rajiv Gandhi School of Intellectual Property Law: Ph.D. with first class or equivalent in LLM after LLB with very good academic record. In procedural laws, minimum 5 years litigation exposure in Civil/Criminal courts of India.
- For Centre of Excellence in Public Policy, Law and Governance: Ph.D. with first class in MA/MSc/LLM after BA/BSc/LLB with very good academic record.
- For Department of Education (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Economics): Post-Graduate Degree in concerned discipline with Ph.D. in concerned discipline (B.Ed. desirable).
- For Department of Education (Philosophy of Education etc.): M.Ed. with Ph.D. in Education.
- Experience requirements vary by post:
- Professor: Minimum 10 years teaching/research/industrial experience, of which at least 4 years at Associate Professor level in specified institutions.
- Associate Professor: Minimum 6 years teaching/research/industrial experience, of which at least 3 years at Assistant Professor level in specified institutions.
- Assistant Professor Grade I: At least 3 years teaching/research/industrial experience (excluding Ph.D. period).
- Assistant Professor Grade II: Less than 3 years experience (contractual appointment).
- Candidates should preferably be below 35 years for Assistant Professor.
- Minimum experience may be relaxed for outstanding candidates.
Salary/ Stipend
- Professor: Level-14A, Minimum basic pay Rs. 1,59,100/- (Gross approx. Rs. 2,57,066/-)
- Associate Professor: Level-13A2, Minimum basic pay Rs. 1,39,600/- (Gross approx. Rs. 2,26,256/-)
- Assistant Professor Grade I: Level-12, Minimum basic pay Rs. 1,01,500/- (Gross approx. Rs. 1,66,058/-)
- Additional incentives: Faculty Start Up Research Grant, CPDA Rs. 3 Lakhs per 3 years block, relocation charges up to Rs. 1,50,000/-, interest-free soft advance Rs. 50,000/-, etc.
