Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed Matriculation from a recognized Board.
Domicile: Candidates must be Domicile of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir with a valid Domicile Certificate issued by the Competent Authority on or before 17.02.2026.
Physical Standards: Candidates must meet the prescribed Physical Standard Test and Physical Endurance Test requirements as mentioned in the notification.
Salary/Stipend
Pay Scale: Level-2 (Rs.19,900 - Rs.63,200) per month
Candidates selected through this recruitment will receive salary and other benefits as per the extant rules and regulations of the Government of UT of J&K.

Minimum Age: 18 years (Not born after 01.01.2007)
Maximum Age: 28 years (Not born before 01.01.1997)
For In-Service Police Personnel: Maximum age 30 years (Not born before 01.01.1995)
For Ex-Servicemen: Every Ex-Servicemen having served in the Armed Forces shall be allowed to deduct the period of such Service from his Actual Age and if the Resultant Age does not exceed the maximum age limit prescribed for the post by more than 3 years, he shall be deemed to satisfy the condition regarding Age Limit.

Selection Process
Stage 1 - Written Test: Candidates shall be subjected to a Written Examination (Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions). Questions will be set in English Language only. There will be Negative Marking for each wrong answer to the extent of one-fourth of marks assigned to that question.
NCC Bonus Marks: Candidates possessing National Cadet Corps (NCC) Certificate shall be awarded bonus marks - 5% for NCC "C" Certificate holders, 3% for NCC "B" Certificate holders, and 2% for NCC "A" Certificate holders.
Stage 2 - Physical Standard Test (PST): Candidates shall be shortlisted for PST on the basis of written test which shall be six times the total number of vacancies to be filled up in each category. This test is of qualifying nature.
Physical Standards for Females: Height 5'-2" (minimum)
Relaxation: For candidates belonging to Gorkha Community/Bot Tribe, minimum Height shall be relaxable by 2".
Stage 3 - Physical Endurance Test (PET): Candidates who meet the physical standards shall undergo PET, which is of qualifying nature.
PET for Male Candidates: Long Race 1600 meters in 6½ minutes and 20 Pushups
PET for Female Candidates: Long Race 1000 meters in 6½ minutes and Shot put (4Kgs) 14½ feet in three attempts
Relaxed Standards for Ex-Servicemen: Age-wise relaxation provided for Long Race and Pushups/Shot put as per notification
Stage 4 - Medical Examination: Selected candidates will be medically examined to assess their physical and medical fitness.
General Information/Instructions
Candidates must be Domicile of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
The examination will consist of Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions in English Language only.
Candidature will be accepted only provisionally subject to verification of documents.
Candidates must write their Name, Date of Birth, Father's Name and Mother's Name strictly as given in the Matriculation Certificate.
Request for change/correction in any particulars in the application form, once submitted, will not be entertained under any circumstances.
Candidates are advised to submit online applications much before the closing date.
Only one online application for the same item number is allowed.
Reservation shall be applicable as per the Jammu & Kashmir Reservation Act/Rules.
Horizontal Reservation: 15% for women candidates, 15% for SPOs (with minimum 3 years engagement), and 4% for Volunteer Home Guards (with minimum 3 years engagement).
Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) are not eligible for these posts.
Use of mobile phones or any electronic equipment is strictly prohibited during examination.
No TA/DA will be paid for participation in the written test/document verification.
The decision of the Board in all matters will be final and binding on the candidates.
