Eligibility Criteria

• Essential Qualifications:
  • Postgraduate degree in relevant Social Sciences subject or Education/Teacher Education with minimum 55% marks (or equivalent grade). A 5% relaxation is given for reserved categories.
  • M.Ed./Hindi Shiksha Nishnat/equivalent degree with a minimum 55% marks from an NCTE/UGC recognized institute.
  • Must have cleared National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC/CSIR or similar test like SLET/SET for North East Region OR hold a Ph.D. degree in accordance with UGC Regulations 2009 or 2016.
• Desirable:
  • Candidates possess Hindi as a subject at the graduate or postgraduate level as the medium of instruction is Hindi.
• General Eligibility Conditions:
  • Candidate must be a citizen of India.
  • A candidate must be a permanent resident of Manipur (or parents/ancestors were permanent residents with proof).
  • A candidate must be able to speak Manipuri, Meitei/Meetei lon or any of the Tribal Dialects of Manipur.

Salary/Stipend

• Pay Scale: PB:3, from Rs 15,600 to Rs 39,100 per month.
• Academic Grade Pay (AGP): Rs. 6000/- (Pre-revised).
• The position is categorized as Class & Services - Group - A.

Application Fee

• Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 600/- for General & OBC categories.
• Rs. 400/- for SC & ST categories.
• No fee is payable for DAPs (Differently Abled Persons).

Selection Process

• Selection procedure is based on the academic score for short-listing candidates for an interview.
• The final selections shall be based only on the performance in the interview.
• The Academic score will be calculated as per Appendix II Table-3B of UGC Regulations 2018 (up to 100 marks total).
• The date and venue of the interview will be notified in due course on the official website.

General Information/Instructions

• Applications must be submitted online only through www.empsconline.gov.in; no other mode is entertained.
• Candidates in service (Ad hoc/Contract/ Guest Faculty/ part-time) must upload a "NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE" (NOC) from their employer.
• Hard copies of the online application printout, Annexure-A, and all supporting documents must be submitted offline to the Secretary, MPSC by hand or speed post on or before 26th January, 2026.
• The decision of the Commission regarding eligibility is final.

• Fill in scores for the academic record using Annexure-A format, sign it, and upload it in the Table-3 section during online submission.
• After online submission, candidates MUST submit hard copies of the printout application, Annexure-A, and all relevant documents (research publications, awards proofs) to the Secretary, MPSC office.
• The hard copies must be sent by hand or by Speed Post/Courier on or before 26th January, 2026.
