Experience:

  • General Manager (Geology), E-7 Grade:
    • Must have minimum 20 years of post-qualification experience in geological functions in the area of Exploration/Mining/Geological Consultancy
    • Within the required minimum experience of 20 years, the candidate must have 07 years of working experience in the mining operations in metalliferous mines and must be conversant with relevant statutes under MMDR/MCDR/MCR etc.
    • Should be familiar with Mapping, Resource & Reserve Estimation as per UNFC guidelines, Excavation Planning, Quality Control, product reconciliation etc.
    • Should have exposure to software for resource modelling & estimation and grade control
    • Desirable: Sound knowledge on ISO standards for sampling & analysis and exposure to application software/statistical tools used in excavation, planning, monitoring & grade control shall be an added advantage
    • Desirable: Candidates working in senior level capacity in a reputed Organization, shall have an added advantage
  • Addl. General Manager (Sales & Marketing), E-6 Grade:
    • Must have at least 15 years of industry experience in Mining & Metal Sector, out of which minimum 07 years of experience in Sales & Marketing of Iron Ore/ Iron Pellets/ Chrome Ore /Bauxite Ore /Manganese Ore/ Limestone Ore or Bulk Raw materials/ related finished products in any organization (s)
    • Desirable: Experience in market assessment, market forecast, formulation & implementation of marketing schemes, sales strategy, sales distribution, Supply chain, logistics and customer related legal matters shall be an added advantage
    • Desirable: Candidates having knowledge of SD Module in SAP shall have an added advantage

Note: The qualifications prescribed for all the above posts must have been obtained through regular mode/ full-time course. Equivalent Qualification, Qualification obtained through Correspondence Courses shall not be considered subject to the condition that the departmental candidates, who are already in OMC regular service as on 01.10.2012, acquiring AMIE (A&B) and other qualifications in correspondence courses from the recognized University/ Institute approved by AICTE can apply for the respective posts.

Selection Process

  • The Final Selection shall be made on the basis of the scores secured in base career, higher education, additional experience and Personal Interview with a total mark of 100
  • Out of Total marks of 100, 70 marks will be assigned for short-listing the eligible candidates:
    • Base Career: 50 Marks (10th / HSC onwards)
    • Higher Education: 10 Marks - 02 (two) marks shall be given for every additional relevant higher qualification subject to a maximum of 10 (ten) marks
    • Additional Experience: 10 Marks - 02 (two) marks shall be given for every year of additional experience beyond the minimum prescribed years of overall experience subject to a maximum of 10 (ten) marks
  • Out of total marks of 100, 30 marks will be assigned for Personal Interview
  • Shortlisted eligible candidates will be called for personal interview in the ratio of 1:10 for each vacancy
  • The departmental candidates of OMC shall apply through online mode only
  • All the departmental candidates belonging to same cadre and fulfilling the eligibility criteria will be shortlisted & called for Personal Interview beyond the above ratio
  • The shortlisted candidates are required to produce original mark sheets, certificates & testimonials/ documents towards proof of age, qualification and marks from HSC / 10th onwards, Experience certificate(s) along with photo copies thereof, for the purpose of verification prior to the personal interview
  • Failing to produce the required documents shall lead to disqualification of candidature
