Eligibility Criteria

• Qualification
• A) For pre-para clinical departments:
• Essential for Medical Candidates-
• (i) A post graduate qualification e.g. MD (Doctor of Medicine) or MS (Master of Surgery) or DNB in the concerned subject from a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective subject/allied discipline.
• Essential for Non - Medical Candidates -
• (i) Anatomy: M.Sc. (Medical Anatomy) with PhD Medical Anatomy
• B) For super-specialty departments:
• D.M./M.Ch./DNB/DrNB in the concerned subject from a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective subject/allied discipline.
• Essential for Non – Medical Candidates :
• (i) Anatomy: M.Sc. (Medical Anatomy) with PhD Medical Anatomy
• (ii) Physiology: M.Sc. (Medical Physiology) with PhD in Medical Physiology.
• B) For super-specialty departments:
• D.M./M.Ch./DNB/DrNB in the concerned subject from a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective subject/allied discipline.
• Experience
• Teaching and Research Experience :
• i. Associate Professor in the subject for three years in a permitted/ recognized medical college/ institution.
• ii. Should have at least four Research publications (at least two as Associate Professor) [only original papers, meta-analysis, systematic reviews, and case series that are published in journals indexed in Medline, PubMed Central, Science Citation Index, Science Citation Index Expanded, Embase, Scopus, Directory of Open Access Journals (DoAJ) will be considered]. The author should be among the first three or corresponding author.
• iii. Should have completed the basic course in Medical Education Technology from in situations designated by NMC.
• iv. Should have completed the Basic course in Biomedical Research from Institutions designated by NMC.
• Teaching and Research Experience :
• i. As Assistant Professor in the subject for four years in a permitted /recognized medical college/ institution.
• ii. Should have two Research Publication [only original papers, meta-analysis, systematic reviews, and case series that are published in journals indexed in Medline, PubMed Central, Science Citation Index, Science Citation Index Expanded, Embase, Scopus, Directory of Open Access Journals (DoAJ) will be considered]. The author should be among the first three or corresponding author.
• iii. Should have completed the basic course in Medical Education Technology from Institutions designated by NMC.
• iv. Should have completed the basic course in Biomedical Research from Institutions designated by NMC

Salary/ Stipend

• Professor Total consolidated pay Rs. 2,22,543/- only.
• Associate Professor Total consolidated pay Rs. 1,47,986/- only.

Age Limit (as on 28-01-2026)

• Not exceeding 67 years as on the date of interview.

General Information / Instructions

• For the post of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor: a) In accordance to ESIC HQRS memorandum L-11/12/3/2020/ PG Basai/ME Cell dt. 04.11.2020- Tenure will be one year with provision to extend to additional two years subject to satisfactory work performance or till regular incumbent joins - whichever is earlier The maximum tenure for such engagement will not exceed three years or 70 years of age of the faculty, whichever is earlier.
• Candidate with eligibility for higher post (Professor/Associate Professor) would be permitted to be interviewed against lower post (Associate Professor/ Assistant Professor) and in event of selection, the candidate would be considered for placement with suitable upgradation of the lower post as per eligibility and selection of the Selection board.
• The upgradation would be temporary and would be limited to the tenure of the teaching faculty/appointment of regular faculty in the lower post. b) The selected candidates will have to furnish a DD/Bankers Cheque for an amount of Rs. 30,000/- (Rupees Thirty Thousand only) drawn in favour of "ESI Fund Account No. 1" payable at Noida, towards security deposit. c) No private practice is allowed in any capacity after joining as teaching faculty at ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Noida.
• General Instructions:- a) All the candidates are requested to appear for walk-in-interview along with duly filled in prescribed Application Form (as attached) and one set of self attested documents required. No candidate will be entertained to attend walk-in-interview after 11:00 am on all scheduled dates. b) "If any candidates do not appear against the category of OBC/SC/ST in the walk-in-interview, then the selection board may select eligible UR category candidates against the category for 44 days as per point No. Xiii of Annexure V of F. No. Z-17/11/1/2007/Med. IV (Pt. file). c) These posts are purely contractual, and may be terminated on either side with a notice of one month. Selection to these posts does not confer the right of confirmation or continuation, as these posts are to be filled by selection & appointment of the regular candidates.
• The recruitments will be purely on contractual basis and selected candidates will have no claim for regularization of the service in the hospital. e) Private practices of any kind will not be allowed. f) The Competent authority may increase or decrease or even cancel filling up of any or all the post without assigning any reasons. g) No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates for appearing in the interview. h) Hostel accommodation/ quarters will not be provided. i) The candidate who is in service should submit "No Objection Certificate" from the employer at the time of interview. 
• The decision of the Selection Board will be final on all aspects of selection and no further correspondence will be entertained under any circumstances. k) Mere submission of application does not confer any right to the candidate to be interviewed. l) Application form (in prescribed format) should be submitted on the day of the interview along with required testimonials in the prescribed format only.
• The candidates are required to bring all the documents in original on the date of interview along with one set of self-attested copies. m) Wrong declarations/submission of false information or any other action contrary to law shall lead to cancellation of the candidature at any stage. n) Certain specialties like Anatomy, Physiology and Biochemistry for which non-medical teaching faculties may be hired, the engagement will be at same rates as for medical teaching faculty except that their consolidated remuneration will be arrived after reducing the element of NPA.
• Retired candidates from Central/ State Govt. / PSU from the equivalent posts are eligible to apply. Persons working in recognized/ approved Private Medical Institutions fulfilling eligibility criteria for the post may also apply. p) All applicants must visit the official website of ESIC (www.esic.gov.in) regularly as all subsequent Corrigendum/ Addendum/Updates (if any) will only be uploaded on the website only.
