Eligibility Criteria
Qualifications – Level I (PRT, Classes I-V): Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) as per NCTE Regulations 2007; OR Senior Secondary with 45% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education as per NCTE Regulations 2002; OR Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in 4-year B.El.Ed; OR Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education); OR Graduation and passed/appearing in 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education. Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit or Sr. Secondary/Graduation/Post Graduation with Hindi as one of the subjects is required.
Qualifications – Level II (TGT, Classes VI-VIII): Different subject-wise combinations of Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks in relevant subjects and B.Ed./D.El.Ed./B.El.Ed or integrated BA.B.Ed/B.Sc.B.Ed, with Hindi or Sanskrit as one of the subjects in Matric or higher education, as detailed for TGT Social Studies, Science, Mathematics, English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Punjabi, Urdu, Physical Education, Home Science, Art, Music etc.
Qualifications – Level III (PGT, Classes IX-XII): Post Graduate Degree in concerned subject with at least 50% marks and B.Ed. (or specific combinations such as M.Sc. Computer Science/MCA/B.E./B.Tech for PGT Computer Science; M.P.Ed etc. for PGT Physical Education) along with Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit or higher qualifications with Hindi as one of the subjects and consistent good academic record as defined in the bulletin.
Desirable / Relaxations: 5% relaxation in minimum qualifying marks for SC/BC/Differently Abled candidates as clarified (e.g., 50% → 47.5%, 45% → 42.75%); Teacher education degrees must be NCTE-recognized; Special Education diplomas/degrees must be RCI-recognized.
Experience: No prior teaching experience is mandated for appearing in HTET; eligibility is based on educational qualifications and other conditions laid down.

Selection Process
HTET-2025 is conducted as a qualifying eligibility test with separate Levels: Level I (PRT), Level II (TGT), Level III (PGT), each having a single paper of 150 multiple-choice questions and duration of two-and-a-half hours.
All questions are objective type (MCQs), each carrying one mark, with no negative marking.
Qualifying marks: 60% (90 marks) for all categories except Scheduled Castes and Differently Abled/Physically Challenged of Haryana domicile; 55% (82 marks) for Scheduled Castes and Differently Abled/Physically Challenged of Haryana domicile; 60% (90 marks) for Scheduled Castes and Differently Abled/Physically Challenged of other States.
Validity of HTET certificate: Lifetime from the issuance date for all levels; unlimited attempts allowed; candidates who have already qualified HTET may re-appear to improve their score.
General Information/Instructions
HTET-2025 is conducted by Board of School Education Haryana, Bhiwani on behalf of Government of Haryana as per guidelines of NCTE and Department of School Education, Haryana.
HTET applies to schools of the State Government/local authority and other specified categories as per RTE Act, 2009 and relevant Service Rules; some unaided schools may opt for HTET or Central TET at elementary level.
Qualifying HTET only confers eligibility; it does not guarantee appointment. Final eligibility and recruitment are governed by respective Service Rules and appointing authorities.
There is no provision for re-evaluation/re-checking of OMR answer sheets; unfairmeans/malpractices, impersonation or possession of prohibited items will invite cancellation, debarment and legal action as per Board’s Unfairmeans Regulations.
Differently abled/visually impaired candidates may be provided compensatory time and scribe/amanuensis facilities as per specified conditions and government instructions.
The validity of the result is also linked with biometric (IRIS) verification; candidates missing stipulated biometric verification windows may be required to pay an additional fee for late verification within one year.
How to Apply

Apply online through HTET website www.bseh.org.in or https://htet.eapplynow.com from 24.12.2025 to 04.01.2026 using a single registration for one level or multiple levels.
Keep ready scanned images of latest coloured photograph, signature and thumb impression in JPG format (photo: 20 KB to 50 KB, signature: 10 KB to 50 KB, thumb impression: 10 KB to 50 KB; photo dimension 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm, white background, at least 60% visibility).
Enter personal details (Name, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Date of Birth) exactly as per Class 10th / Secondary certificate and submit mandatory Identification Proof & number.
Upload photograph, signature and thumb impression as per specifications, then remit application fee online through the payment gateway.
After successful submission and fee payment, download and keep printout of the Confirmation Page for record (no need to send to Board office).
Use the specified online correction window (04.01.2026 to 05.01.2026) to rectify particulars, photo/signature/thumb impression, level, caste category, physically challenged status and home state; no offline corrections via email/fax/post will be accepted.
In case confirmation page is not generated despite fee payment, contact Assistant Secretary (Special Exam Cell) of the Board office with proof of payment.
