Eligibility Criteria
Education & Experience: As per the latest NMC norms for all advertised posts.
Candidates must have up-dated Medical Registration (NMC/Punjab Medical Council) with all post MBBS/MD/MS Qualifications.
Experience certificates must clearly specify the duration of experience.
Candidates with eligibility for a higher post (Professor/Associate Professor) are permitted to be interviewed against a lower post (Associate Professor/Assistant Professor).
Salary/Stipend
Professor (Level 13): Fixed basic pay of ₹1,23,100/- + other allowances (Gross salary approx ₹2.5 L per month).
Associate Professor (Level 12): Fixed basic pay of ₹78,800/- + other allowances (Gross salary approx ₹1.7 L per month).
Assistant Professor (Level 11): Fixed basic pay of ₹67,700/- + other allowances (Gross salary approx ₹1.45 L per month).
Senior Resident (3 yr & 1 yr): Fixed basic pay of ₹67,700/- + other allowances (Gross salary approx ₹1.45 L per month).
For SRs, deductions apply if possessing only a diploma (₹1350) or no degree/diploma (₹2250).
No claim for service benefits like PF, pension, Gratuity, Medical Benefits, Seniority, Promotion is admissible as this is a contractual appointment.
Age Limit (as on 08-01-2026)
Age limit as on the date of interview (08.01.2026):
Not exceeding 69 years for teaching faculty posts.
Not exceeding 45 years for Senior Resident posts.
Age relaxation is provided as per prevailing norms of the Government of India.
Payment via Demand Draft in favour of ESI Fund A/c No. 1, Payable at Ludhiana.
