Vacancy Details

Number of vacancies is tentative and subject to revision on assessment.

Eligibility Criteria

• Qualification: MBBS with one (01) year working experience in any of the registered hospitals
• All candidates applying for the above post should have a recognized MBBS Degree, which is registered with Medical Council of India or by a State Medical Council of India.
• House Surgeon period shall not be considered as Work Experience.

Salary/ Stipend

• Remuneration: Rs.500/- per hour
• Conveyance Charges: In case of local travel (upto 30 KMs one way), conveyance charges will be on actuals basis, with the upper ceilings of Rs. 4500/- per month and beyond 30 KMs one-way, with the upper ceiling limit of Rs.6000/- per month on case to case basis
• Payment towards Remuneration and Conveyance will be against submission of invoice as independent professional for rendering the services.

Age Limit (as on 31-12-2025)

• The upper age limit as on 31.12.2025 is 65 years, relax-able up to 70 years on approval of Competent Authority

• Selection process will be through interview of the shortlisted candidates. Candidates called for interview will not be paid any TA/DA.

General Information / Instructions

• The selected candidate should produce medical fitness certificate at the time of joining from a registered medical officer.
• Working Hours: Four (04) Hours between 01.30 PM to 05.30 PM.
• Persons employed in Govt./Semi-Govt./ Public Sector Undertakings/ Autonomous bodies should apply through Proper Channel.

• The engagement is purely on Temporary basis for a period One Year. Subsequent renewal(s) will be subject to satisfactory performance and at the discretion of Management.
• There will be notice period of one (01) month, on either side, for discontinuing the part time engagement.
• Late / incomplete applications will not be considered and no correspondence on this will be entertained. BHEL reserves the right to reschedule/cancel/suspend/terminate the process without assigning any reasons and alter the terms and conditions at any time due to any exigency. The decision of the management will be final and no appeal will be entertained.
• Candidates employed in Govt./Semi-Govt./Public Sector Undertakings/ Nationalized Banks/Autonomous Bodies shall be required to apply through Proper Channel. However, in the event of difficulty, they may send the application directly and produce the no objection certificate/ resignation letter from their organization in the event of selection.
• The candidates should ensure while applying that they fulfil the essential eligibility criteria and other requirements prescribed for the above posts and that the particulars furnished by them are correct in all respects. In case, it is detected at any stage of recruitment process that the candidates do not fulfil the essential eligibility criteria and /or does not comply with other requirements and /or he/she has furnished any incorrect / false information or has suppressed any relevant information / material fact(s), his / her candidature is liable to be rejected. If any of the above shortcomings is/are detected, even after appointment, his/her services are liable for suitable action including termination and prosecution.
• The Management reserves the right to Revise / Reschedule / Cancel / Suspend the recruitment process, if the need so arises, without assigning any further notice or reason thereof. The decision of the management shall be final and no appeal shall be entertained. The Company reserves the right to reject any application without assigning any reason whatsoever.
• Any legal proceedings in respect of any matter of claim or dispute arising out of this advertisement and /or an application in response thereto can be instituted only in Chennai and Courts/Tribunals/Forums (Jurisdiction Courts) at Chennai only shall have sole and exclusive jurisdiction to try any such cause / dispute.
• Management reserves the right to disqualify any candidate who is unable to produce relevant documents in proof of qualification and experience. No correspondence in this regard shall be entertained.
• Candidates are advised to possess a valid e-mail ID. They are also advised to keep this email ID active for a period of minimum one year, as any important intimation to them shall be provided by BHEL through e-mail.
• Any form of canvassing or bringing extraneous pressure will be disqualification and will render the candidate ineligible for selection.
