Eligibility Criteria

• All candidates must have updated Medical Registration (NMC/State Medical Council) with all post MBBS/MD/MS qualifications.
• Educational qualifications shall be as per National Medical Commission (NMC, erstwhile MCI) guidelines for the respective teaching faculty posts and Senior Residents.
• Age limit as on 10/01/2026: Not exceeding 69 years; maximum tenure of engagement will be till 70 years of age for teaching faculty, whichever is earlier, subject to rules and satisfactory performance.
• EWS candidates must submit an EWS Certificate as per Annexure‑I of Govt. of India, DOPT O.M. No. 36039/1/2019‑Estt (Res) dated 31.01.2019.
• OBC (Non‑Creamy Layer) Certificate should be issued not prior to one year from the date of interview, in the format applicable for Central Government jobs, by an officer not below the rank of Sub‑Divisional Officer or equivalent authority.
• Reservation for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwD/Divyangjan) will be maintained as per Government of India norms; identified posts for PwD are specified for Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Physiology in the notification.

Salary/Stipend

• Professor: Fixed basic pay of Rs. 1,23,100/- in Pay Level-13 (7th CPC, Cell 1) plus other allowances as admissible.
• Associate Professor: Fixed basic pay of Rs. 78,800/- in Pay Level-12 (7th CPC, Cell 1) plus other allowances as admissible.
• Assistant Professor: Fixed basic pay of Rs. 67,700/- in Pay Level-11 (7th CPC, Cell 1) plus other allowances as admissible.
• Senior Residents: Fixed basic pay of Rs. 67,700/- in Pay Level-11 (7th CPC, Cell 1) plus other allowances as admissible.
• In case of engagement of retired employees/pensioners, they may be allowed to draw total pay without any deduction, and can continue to draw pension and dearness relief during their period of contractual engagement, as it is not treated as re-employment under CCS (Fixation of Pay of Re‑employed Pensioner) Orders 1986.

Age Limit (as on 10-01-2026)

• Maximum age: Not exceeding 69 years as on 10/01/2026 for teaching faculty and Senior Residents.
• Maximum tenure: Up to 70 years of age for teaching faculty, whichever is earlier, subject to other rules and satisfactory performance.

Selection Process

• Selection will be made on the basis of acquired academic credentials and performance of the candidate in the interview before the Selection Board.
• Result will be displayed in the “Recruitments” section of the website www.esic.gov.in.
• Offer of appointment will be sent to selected candidates through email only.
• Selected candidates will have to join as per instructions mentioned in the offer of appointment.
• Any amendment in the notification will be displayed on the website www.esic.gov.in.
• Opportunity of interview will be on a provisional basis subject to detailed scrutiny of eligibility criteria.

General Information/Instructions

• Vacancies are provisional and may increase or decrease as per actual requirement for teaching and patient care; the Competent Authority reserves the right to amend, cancel or change the advertisement wholly or partly without assigning reasons.
• Reservation will be as per Government of India guidelines; EWS vacancies not filled due to non-availability of suitable EWS candidates will not be carried forward as backlog, as per DoPT FAQs (File No. 43011/11/2022‑Estt. (Res‑II) dated 19.02.2022).
• In case of non-availability of reserved category candidates, vacancies may be filled for less than 45 days as de-reserved seats.
• No private practice is allowed in any capacity after joining as teaching faculty at ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Indore.
• All candidates must have updated medical registration with NMC or State Medical Council; those without updated registration must produce proof of having applied, failing which they may not be interviewed or their results may be withheld.
• Candidates working in Govt/Autonomous/Statutory/Private institutions should preferably have “NOC” at the time of interview or submit proof of having applied for NOC.
• Reservation for PwD will be maintained as per Government of India norms; if suitable PwD candidates are not available, vacancies may be filled from other candidates while carrying forward PwD reservation.
• The contractual appointment does not confer any right for regular appointment or continuation beyond the approved tenure and is subject to termination with one month’s notice from either side.
• Absence from work for more than 7 days without proper permission will amount to voluntary abandonment and automatic termination of engagement; attendance must be marked manually and on Aadhaar Enabled Biometric Attendance System (AEBAS).
• No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview or submitting documents; canvassing in any form will disqualify candidature.

• Eligible candidates must first send a scanned copy of the Application Form, Demand Draft (if applicable) and required/supporting documents (including research publications and conference papers, if any) by email to: [email protected] latest by 01.00 PM of 10/01/2026.
• Candidates must write their Name, Post and Department in the subject line of the email.
• Thereafter, the original Application Form with self‑attested copies of required documents and the original Demand Draft (as interview fee, if applicable) must reach “The Dean, ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Nanda Nagar, Indore (M.P.) – 452011” by 01.00 PM of 10/01/2026.
• Candidates must write on the envelope: “Recruitment of Teaching Faculty/Senior Residents on contract basis” along with Name of Post and Department.
• The self-attested copies of the following documents must be attached with the application: Class 10th certificate (DOB), all mark sheets and degree certificates of MBBS and MD/MS/DNB/other examinations, valid EWS/OBC/SC/ST/PwD certificate (if applicable), updated NMC/State Medical Registration, proof of publications, experience certificates, recent passport-size photograph, relieving/NOC from employer (if applicable), Aadhaar card, and relevant NMC/ICMR training certificates, if any.
• Only one form should be filled by a candidate for each applied post; forms must be filled in clear, bold letters, and photograph should show clearly visible face with both ears and be signed across.
• All self-attested documents must be scanned and sent as a single PDF arranged in sequence as per the checklist, latest by 01.00 PM of 10/01/2026.
• Mere submission of application does not confer any right to be called for interview; wrong declarations or false information will lead to cancellation of candidature at any stage.
