Educational & Essential Criteria
- The applicant should be an Indian national.
- Applicants should have a Master’s degree or higher from a recognized university in India or abroad.

- Experience of work in a reputed academic institution, think-tank or research organization in the area of foreign policy or international affairs.

Desirable Criteria
- Specialized domain knowledge/evidence of original thinking.

- Experience of work in academia, think-tank or research organization in the area of foreign policy, international affairs or public policy.
Age Limit

Selection Process

- The engagement of the Consultant is on full time basis with normal working hours from 0900 to 1730 hrs; hours are subject to change.
- In exigencies, the consultant may be required to work beyond office hours and/or on closed holidays without extra allowance or remuneration.
- He/She shall not accept any other professional appointment, paid or otherwise, during the term of engagement with the Ministry.
- Paid leave of absence may be allowed at the rate of 1.5 days for each completed month of service, subject to conditions on accumulation, maximum days at a time, and no leave encashment.
- If required to travel as part of duties, travel, accommodation and per-diem costs will be borne by the Ministry as per guidelines.
