Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed ITI Draftsman (Civil) or Diploma in Architecture Assistant from a government recognized institution.
• Technical Training: Successful completion of Auto CAD training from a recognized institution is mandatory.
• Work Experience: Minimum 1 year of work experience after completing Auto CAD training is required.
• Additional Preference: Candidates having knowledge of Geographic Information System (GIS) will be given preference.
• Computer Knowledge: Proficiency in Auto CAD software and basic computer operations is essential.
• Disability Certificate: Persons with disabilities must have a valid disability certificate issued by competent authority showing minimum 40% disability.
• HHC Examination: Candidates must pass the HHC examination within 1 year of appointment as per Surat Municipal Corporation Resolution No. 67/2008 dated 24-03-2008 or equivalent qualification recognized by Government.

Salary/Stipend

• Training Period (First 3 Years): Fixed monthly stipend of Rs. 17,500/-
• Pay Band After Training: Rs. 5,000 - 8,000/- with Grade Pay Rs. 9,300 - 34,800/-
• Grade Pay: Rs. 4,200/-
• Pay Matrix: Rs. 35,400 - 1,12,400/- per month after regularization
• The salary structure follows the 7th Pay Commission norms applicable to Surat Municipal Corporation employees.

Age Limit (as on 16/01/2026)

• Maximum Age: 33 years
• Age Relaxation for Reserved Categories: As per Gujarat Government rules and regulations, age relaxation will be provided to SC/ST/SEBC/EWS candidates.
• Age Calculation Date: The age limit will be calculated as on the last date of application submission i.e., 16/01/2026.
