Eligibility Criteria

Block Epidemiologist

  • Essential Qualification:
    • M.Sc in Life Science/Epidemiology OR BAMS/BHMS/BUMS with MPH
    • Proficiency in advance MS office
  • Desirable Criteria:
    • Ph.D/M.Phil
    • Experience in Public Health

Block Public Health Manager

  • Essential Qualification:
    • B.Sc in Life Science with Post graduate degree/Diploma in Management
    • Proficiency in advance MS office
  • Desirable Criteria:
    • M.Sc in Life Science
    • Experience in Public Health

Laboratory Technician

  • Essential Qualification:
    • Passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics/ Biological Science
    • Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology from any institution recognized by the Government of West Bengal or Diploma in Laboratory Techniques (DLT) from School of Tropical Medicine
  • Desirable Criteria:
    • 2 years post qualification experience in any Laboratory of Government Institutions or Private Institution licensed under Clinical Establishment Act

Block Data Manager

  • Essential Qualification:
    • Graduate from any recognized university and have competed at least 1 year Diploma course in Computer Application and from Govt. Registered Institution
    • Working knowledge of computer with operating knowledge of MS Word, MS excel, MS Power Point, MS Access and Internet
  • Desirable Criteria:
    • Minimum 3 years' Experience in Government Sector or 5 years' experience in Private Sector in Data recording and Data analysis

Medical Officer General Duty

  • Essential Qualification:
    • MBBS from a MCI recognized institute with 1 year compulsory Internship. Must be registered under West Bengal Medical Council

Staff Nurse

  • Essential Qualification:
    • Minimum qualification required
    • Completed Staff training course from an Institute recognised by the Indian Nursing Council / W.B. Nursing Council. OR The candidate should have completed B. Sc. Nursing Course
    • Must be registered under W.B. Nursing Council
    • Candidate should have proficiency in local language

Counsellor

  • Essential Criteria:
    • Graduation in Social Science from recognized institution
    • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, Knowledge of MS - Office and other computer skills required for Office Work
    • Fluency in local language both in writing and speaking
    • Two years working experience in Health Sector / Social Sector
    • Master Degree in Social Science from recognized institution
  • Preferential Criteria:
    • Out of the essential two years experience, completed one experience in counseling services at health sector

Salary/Stipend

  • Block Epidemiologist: Rs. 35,000/- per month Consolidated
  • Block Public Health Manager: Rs. 35,000/- per month Consolidated

Age Limit (as on 1st January 2025)

  • Block Epidemiologist: Minimum 21 years and Maximum 40 years
  • Block Public Health Manager: Minimum 21 years and Maximum 40 years
  • Laboratory Technician: Minimum 19 years and Maximum 40 years
  • Block Data Manager: Minimum 21 years and Maximum 40 years
  • Medical Officer General Duty: Upper age limit 67 years

Selection Process

  • Candidates will be called for Computer Test and Interview on the basis of score of essential and desirable criteria (wherever applicable)
  • Candidates qualified in computer test will be called for interview (wherever applicable)
  • Selection will be made on the basis of marks obtained in academic qualification, experience, computer test (wherever applicable) and interview (wherever applicable)

  • All marks must be calculated excluding marks of Additional Subject. No rounding off of marks will be done. Scores shall be calculated up to 2 decimal points will be considered
  • Experience will be calculated after obtaining the required academic qualification for the above mentioned position. It is to be noted that no MCI House job/training/apprentice/Industrial Experience Certificate is valid. No appointment letter will be treated as experience certificate
  • The eligible candidates will have to go through all stages of recruitment. If a candidate skips any stage(s), s/he will be disqualified without any further communication
  • The decision of the competent authorities regarding the recruitment is final
  • The competent authorities may cancel the recruitment process at any stage of the selection process

  • The applicant must be a permanent resident of West Bengal
  • The applicant must have knowledge of local language i.e. Should be able to read, write and speak in Bengali

  • The above-mentioned post is purely contractual in nature with initial period of engagement up to March 2026 and may be renewed for further period depending on satisfactory performance and approval of higher authority

  • Remuneration of the HR will be fixed as per rate of National Health Mission (NHM) as mentioned against the post. No enhancement will be permitted unless the service period goes up to 2026
