Eligibility Criteria
- Qualification: Master's degree in environmental engineering / M.Sc in Environmental Science / Post Graduate Diploma in Environment Engineering / Master's Degree in Environment Management.
- Experience: Minimum 06 years post qualification work experience in the field of Safety-Health-Environment preferably in construction/manufacturing units.
Salary / Stipend
- IDA equivalent E2/Rs. 50000-160000
- DA, HRA, Medical, LTC, Cafeteria of Allowances, annual increment etc as per the policy applicable to contractual employees of the corporation.
- Gratuity as per the Gratuity Act.

Selection Process
- Walk-in-Interview
- Candidate should attend the interview with application form with original credentials.
- The candidates should arrive on time at the venue and get registered with HR Department for the walk-in interview.
- The candidate will be interviewed by a nominated Committee and the selection will be finalized on merit based on the performance in the interview, qualification and post qualification experience gained by the Candidate.
- The decision of the Nominated Committee of MRVC shall be final and binding.
General Information / Instructions
1. Undertake regular field visits to address and monitor Safety-Health-environmental issues related to project implementation.
2. Maintain and update computerized databases on environmental matters, including Forest, Wildlife, CRZ, and other statutory compliances.
3. Coordinate with CPMs offices for implementation and monitoring of Environmental Assessment (EA) and Environmental Management Plan (EMP) activities, including liaison with AIIB and other funding agencies.
4. Review and monitor deliverables of third-party consultants engaged for preparation and implementation of EMPs.
5. Prepare policy notes, compliance reports, progress updates, and related documents for submission to the Ministry of Railways and external funding agencies.
6. Provide technical guidance and support to CPMs offices through periodic site inspections on environmental safeguard issues.
7. Coordinate preparation of additional environmental action plans, studies, and conduct capacity-building/training programmes for field staff.
8. Coordinate with PMC and perform any other duties related to environmental aspects as assigned by CPM from time to time.
The engagement will be for a period of 3 years.
The period of contract is extendable at sole discretion of MRVC as per project requirement subject to satisfactory service of the contractual employee.
The cut-off date for eligibility would be date of issue of notification i.e. 04.02.2026.
a) 8 days Casual Leave + 2 days Restricted Holidays per annum (unutilised CL/RH if any would lapse at the end of one year)
b) 10 days sick leave for six months (like Half Pay leave with provision of commutation)
c) 12 days Special Leave per annum.
However, grant of leave shall not be claimed as a matter of right and the Competent Authority has the right in its absolute discretion either to sanction or reject the leave applied for.
The selected candidate will have to serve the Corporation for at least two years for which he/she should execute a Surety Bond of Rs.1 Lac. in favour of Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation Ltd. on Rs. 500/- stamp paper to serve the Company for two years.
The candidate should have sound health. Before joining, candidates will have to undergo medical examination and produce the certificate of fitness for job issued by a Doctor (at least MBBS).
