Telangana Districts List 2023 | TS New Districts

            Telangana formed as the 29th state of India on 2nd of June,2014. The state has an area of 1,12,077sq.kms. The state consists of 33 districts. Hyderabad is the capital of Telangana. In terms of area Bhadradri Kothagudem is the largest district and Hyderabad is the smallest. Hyderabad is the most populated district and Mulugu is the least populated.

Adilabad 

    Adilabad district has an area of 4,153 sq. km. The district has two revenue divisions. The two revenue divisions are divided into 18 mandals. The district headquarters is located in Adilabad town. The district is famous for its rich cultivation of cotton. Because of that, Adilabad district is also referred to as “White Gold City.”

Bhadradri Kothagudem            

      Bhadradri Kothagudem district has an area of 7,483 sq. km. The district has two revenue divisions. The two revenue divisions are divided into 23 mandals. The district headquarters is located at Kothagudem. Regarding area, Bhadradri Kothagudem is the largest district in Telangana state.  

Kumuram Bheem

       Kumuram Bheem district has an area of 4,878 sq. km. The district has two revenue divisions. The two revenue divisions are divided into 15 mandals. The headquarters of the district is Asifabad.

Mancherial

        Mancherial district has an area of 4,016 sq. km. The district has two revenue divisions. The Two revenue divisions are divided into 18 mandals. District headquarters is located at Mancherial town. Gudem Gutta, Sri Satyanarayana Swamy temple, is famous in the Mancherial district.

Nirmal

         The Nirmal district has an area of 3,845 sq. km. The district has two revenue divisions. The two revenue divisions are divided into 19 mandals. The district headquarters is located in Nirmal town. Nirmal toys are world-famous traditional wooden toys made in the town of Nirmal.

Nizamabad 

        Nizamabad district has an area of 4,288 sq. km. The community has three revenue divisions. The three revenue divisions are divided into 27 mandals. The headquarters of the district is Nizamabad. Nizam was the giant sugar factory in Asia during Nizam’s government.

Jagtial

      Jagtial district has an area of 2,419 sq. km. The district has three revenue divisions. The three revenue divisions are divided into 18 mandals. The district headquarters is located at Jagtial.  

Peddapalli

       Peddapalli district has an area of 2,236 sq. km. The district has two revenue divisions. The two revenue divisions are divided into 14 mandals. The headquarters of the district is Peddapalli. The district has vast natural resources of minerals like coal, limestone, granite, etc.

Kamareddy

        Kamareddy district has an area of 3,652 sq. km. The district has two revenue divisions. The two revenue divisions are divided into 22 mandals. The headquarters of the district is in Kamareddy town. Most of the families in the Kamareddy district depend on agriculture.

Jayashankar Bhupalpally

        Jayashankar Bhupalpally district has an area of 2,293 sq. km. The district has two revenue divisions. The two revenue divisions are divided into 20 mandals. The headquarters of the district is Bhupalpally. Muthyala Dhara waterfalls, located at Veerabadravaram village in the district, is the third highest waterfall in our country.

Hanamkonda        

        Hanamkonda district has an area of 1,309 sq. km. The district has two revenue divisions. The two revenue divisions are divided into 14 mandals. The headquarters of the district is Hanamkonda. The Thousand Pillars Temple is the most popular place to visit in the Hanamkonda district, located at the base of hanamkonda hill. The Kakatiya king Rudradeva built this temple in the 12th century. This temple is also known as Sri Rudreshwara Swamy Temple, dedicated to lord shiva. 

Hyderabad

       Hyderabad district has an area of 217 sq. km. The district has two revenue divisions. The two revenue divisions are divided into 16 mandals. The headquarters of the district is in Hyderabad. In terms of area, Hyderabad is the smallest district. It is the most populated district in Telangana state. Jogulamba Gadwal

       Jogulamba Gadwal district has an area of 2928 sq. km. The district has one revenue division. The one revenue division is divided into 12 mandals. The district headquarters is located at Gadwal. Alampur Jogulamba Temple, one of the eighteen powerful Shakti Peethas in India located in this region. This temple is situated close to the holy river of Tungabhadra in Gadwal.

Karimnagar

       Karimnagar district has an area of 2,128 sq. km. The district has two revenue divisions. The two revenue divisions are divided into 16 mandals. The headquarters of the district is in Karimnagar. Karimnagar Uzwal Park is a famous tourist attraction near the lower Maniar dam.

Khammam
