  • Qualifications: While Ph.D. is desirable, it is not essential. However, lack of Ph.D. must be offset by demonstrated domain knowledge obtained from the field
  • Purpose: Must have interest and potential to teach Leadership Development Program (LDP) courses as full-time activity
  • Evaluation Criteria: Exceptional contributions due to unique expertise (not available internally) or potential contribution through teaching quality and exceptional service
  • Contract Period: Initially appointed for period of two years, renewable for maximum period of up to 5 years based on performance and Director's approval
  • Retirement Age: 65 years
  • Designation: Depending on relevant years of experience, candidate could be called Associate Professor of Practice or Professor of Practice

  • Stage 1: Screening of applications based on qualifications, experience, and publications
  • Stage 2: Interview for shortlisted candidates
  • Screening Criteria: Papers published ONLY in ABDC Journals will be considered for shortlisting of applications
  • Screening Committee Authority: In case of overwhelming applications, the Screening Committee might use academic/publication/work-experience parameters as criteria for raising the bar and optimizing the application pool
  • Contractual Appointment: If candidate's academic credentials are excellent but does not have requisite research publications or experience, may be considered for contractual appointment
  • Special Provision for Fresh Ph.D.: Candidates who have completed Ph.D. from IIT/IIM/IISc/IISER/NITIE or equivalent level institution in last three years without requisite publications may be considered for contractual appointment
  • Lower Position Consideration: Candidates called for interview to fill a vacancy may be considered for lower post if they are otherwise found suitable

  • Candidates should have demonstrated ability to make relevant intellectual contribution to experienced and potential managers through teaching, training research and published work

  • Faculty members are expected to carry out research, design and teach courses, engage in institution development and conduct training program and consultancy

  • The courses offered by autonomous institutions should be equivalent to the relevant course approved/recognized by Association of Indian University (AIU)
  • Relaxation in qualification and experience/higher start in the pay scale may be considered in case of exceptionally bright candidates
  • For regular appointment, there would be a probation period of 2 years
  • Depending on academic credentials of the candidate, the Institute may consider them for an offer on contractual basis of one/two years
