Contractual Appointment: If candidate's academic credentials are excellent but does not have requisite research publications or experience, may be considered for contractual appointment
Special Provision for Fresh Ph.D.: Candidates who have completed Ph.D. from IIT/IIM/IISc/IISER/NITIE or equivalent level institution in last three years without requisite publications may be considered for contractual appointment
Lower Position Consideration: Candidates called for interview to fill a vacancy may be considered for lower post if they are otherwise found suitable

For regular appointment, there would be a probation period of 2 years
