- Deputy Registrar (Group A, Level 12, UR-01)
- Upper Age Limit: 50 years.
- Qualification: Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade.
- Experience: 5 years administrative experience as Assistant Registrar in Level 10 or equivalent in Govt./Govt. research establishments/universities/statutory organizations/organizations of high repute.
- Private Secretary (Group B, Level 7, UR-01)
- Upper Age Limit: 38 years.
- Qualification: I. Master’s Degree with 50% marks with excellent command over English. II. Computer key depression speed equivalent to 60 wpm. III. One-year Diploma/Proficiency Certificate in Computer and office applications from recognised institution.
- Experience: 5 years relevant experience in Govt. organisations in Pay Level 6. Desirable: English stenography/shorthand speed 100 wpm.
- Junior Assistant (Multi Skill) (Group C, Level 3, UR-01)
- Upper Age Limit: 30 years.
- Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree with 50% marks in any discipline with excellent computer proficiency in office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.).
- Experience: 3 years relevant experience in office practices / hospitality and catering services.
- Senior Superintendent (Group B, Level 7, UR-01) – Deputation
- Upper Age Limit: Not exceeding 56 years (as per DoPT OM).
- Qualification: Master’s Degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks or equivalent grade.
- Experience: At least 5 years in Pay Level 6 or above as Junior Superintendent or equivalent, handling Admin/Finance & Accounts/Academic/Legal/Statutory/Audit/Stores & Purchase/Establishment in Central/State Govt., funded institutes, universities or comparable institutions.
- Senior Technical Officer (IT) (Group A, Level 11, UR-01)
- Upper Age Limit: 50 years.
- Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in relevant field with first class or equivalent (6.5/10 CGPA) and consistently excellent academic record.
- Experience: 5 years relevant ICT experience in a post carrying Pay Level 10 or equivalent.
- Technical Officer (Lab) (Group A, Level 10, UR-01)
- Upper Age Limit: 40 years.
- Qualification: M.Sc./BS-MS Degree in Instrumentation/Physical Science with first class or equivalent (6.5/10) and consistently excellent academic record.
- Experience: 5 years proven research/laboratory experience in operation of scientific/technical equipment and support to academic/research framework in premier institutes, with total 5 years post-master’s lab/research experience.
- Junior Technical Assistant (Lab) (Group C, Level 5, UR-01)
- Upper Age Limit: 33 years.
- Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Geology with at least 55% marks.
- Experience: 5 years relevant experience in laboratory/academic/research establishments of national/international repute, handling equipment related to Earth & Environmental Sciences labs.
- Assistant Engineer (Civil) (Group B, Level 7, UR-01)
- Upper Age Limit: 38 years.
- Qualification & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with first class and 3 years relevant experience in Level 6 as Junior Engineer or above in institutional building construction/maintenance/design & planning as per CPWD norms. OR Diploma in Civil Engineering with first class and 5 years relevant experience in Level 6 as Junior Engineer or above in similar CPWD-norm based works.
- Junior Engineer (Electrical) (Group B, Level 6, UR-01)
- Upper Age Limit: 35 years.
- Qualification & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/HVAC Engineering with first class and at least 5 years field experience in electrical/HVAC construction/maintenance works, preferably as per CPWD/PWD/Govt. norms. OR Diploma in Electrical/HVAC Engineering with first class and at least 8 years similar field experience.
- Medical Officer (Group A, Level 10 + NPA, UR-01)
- Upper Age Limit: 40 years.
- Qualification: MBBS or equivalent included in any Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, registered in State/Indian Medical Register.
- Experience: At least 5 years post-qualification experience after internship in a recognised large/multi-speciality hospital of good repute. Desirable: MD in General Medicine or equivalent, registered in State/Indian Medical Register.
- Nurse (Group B, Level 7, UR-01)
- Upper Age Limit: 38 years.
- Qualification: Master’s Degree with 50% marks in Nursing from recognised University/Institution OR First Class B.Sc. (Nursing) 4-year Degree from recognised University/Institute, registered as Nurse & Midwife with Indian/State Nursing Council.
- Experience: 5 years clinical experience in minimum 50-bedded hospital recognised by Central/State Govt./MCI.
- Junior Library Superintendent (Group B, Level 6, 01 post reserved for PwBD – OA/OL/HH)
- Upper Age Limit: 35 years.
- Qualification: Master’s Degree in Library Science/Library & Information Science with 55% marks OR First class Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science/Library & Information Science.
- Desirable: Diploma/Certificate in Computer Application/Digital Library Management/Library Automation or sufficient experience in library digitisation and networking.
- Experience: 5 years in Library & Information Science in digital library management/automation/networking in Central/State Govt., autonomous bodies, universities, or higher education institutes.
- Physical Education Instructor (Group B, Level 7, UR-01)
- Upper Age Limit: 38 years.
- Qualification: I. Master’s Degree in Physical Education and Sports/Sports Science with first class or 50% marks. II. Diploma in Coaching from NIS or equivalent. III. Must qualify prescribed physical fitness test as per UGC regulations.
- Experience: I. 5 years in Central/State educational institutes/organisations of repute. II. Demonstrated meritorious performance in national/international events (at least twice in past 4 years). III. Representation at University/College/State/National level competitions. IV. Evidence of organising competitions and coaching camps of at least 2 weeks. V. Evidence of having produced good team/athlete performances at State/National/Inter-University level.
- Junior Translator (Rajbhasha) (Group B, Level 6, UR-01)
- Upper Age Limit: 35 years.
- Qualification: Master’s Degree from recognised University in:
- Hindi with English as compulsory/elective or medium at degree level, OR
- English with Hindi as compulsory/elective or medium at degree level, OR
- Any subject with Hindi medium and English as compulsory/elective or medium, OR
- Any subject with English medium and Hindi as compulsory/elective or medium, OR
- Any subject with both Hindi and English as compulsory/elective or one as medium and other as compulsory/elective at degree level.
- Experience: At least 5 years office environment experience with Hindi/English typing skills, excellent computer skills for correspondence/files, and knowledge of translation (Hindi–English and vice versa).

- During online application, candidates must upload legible self-attested copies (where applicable) of:

- Age relaxation will be as per Government of India norms; SC/ST/OBC relaxations apply only against reserved vacancies and require valid community certificates issued before the advertisement date; no relaxation for these categories against UR posts.
- For existing regular IISER Berhampur employees, there is no upper age limit, provided at least one year of service remains before superannuation on last date of application.
- Deputation posts will follow DoPT guidelines; deputation term generally three years, extendable as per rules.
- Institute may conduct written and/or trade tests, fix additional shortlisting criteria, and alter number of positions (including consequential vacancies) based on requirements.
- Mere fulfilment of eligibility does not guarantee being called for test; shortlisting will be as per institute’s criteria and decision will be final; canvassing will lead to disqualification.
- All documents and antecedents will be verified; submission of fake documents or suppression of information will lead to termination.
- Probation period for regular positions is one year.
- PWD eligibility and suitable disability categories/physical requirements are defined post-wise in the notification; minimum 40% disability is required for PwD reservation.
- Interviews are dispensed with for Group C and Group B Non-Gazetted posts; selection will be based on written/trade tests as per DoPT OMs.
