Selection Process
Stage 1: Preliminary Examination (Objective Type) - General Knowledge paper of 200 marks, 3 hours duration
Stage 2: Main Examination (Written Type/Question-Answer Booklet)
For Assistant Review Officer: English Language, Hindi Language, Computer Operation (Practical/Qualifying), English Typing Test (Qualifying)
For Assistant Librarian: Theory Paper I (Compulsory), Theory Paper II (Optional - one of three), Computer Operation (Practical/Qualifying)
For Translator: Language Paper (English & Hindi), Translation and Drafting, Computer Operation (Practical/Qualifying)
For Typist: English Language, Hindi Language, Computer Typing (Practical/Qualifying)
Stage 3: Computer Operation and Typing Examination (Qualifying Nature for applicable posts)
Final Selection: Based on merit in Main Examination and post preference given by candidates in online application
Negative Marking: One-fourth marks will be deducted for each wrong answer in objective type questions
Minimum Qualifying Marks (Preliminary): General 35%, OBC/EWS 30%, SC/ST 25%
Minimum Qualifying Marks (Final Selection): General 45%, OBC/EWS 40%, SC/ST 35%

General Information/Instructions
The Uttarakhand Competitive Examinations (Prevention and Redressal of Unfair Means in Recruitment) Act, 2023 has been promulgated and action will be taken as per provisions for any misconduct
Candidates must possess all essential educational qualifications and other qualifications mentioned in the advertisement by the last date of online application (20 January 2026)
As per Scrutiny Guidelines 2022 (as amended 2024), the date of possessing mandatory educational qualification will be determined only by Marksheet Issuing Date
Candidates should study all instructions in the advertisement carefully before applying online and fill the application correctly
Candidates presenting fake certificates (educational qualification/age/reservation related) will be debarred from all future examinations of the Commission for maximum 05 years
