Eligibility Criteria
- Applicant must be a Citizen of India and Permanent Resident of Assam.
- Selected Applicants will have to submit Proof of Residence after publication of the Final Select List. However, Applicants belonging to SC, ST, OBC/MOBC are exempted from submitting such Certificates.
- The Applicant must be registered with a local Employment Exchange in Assam.
- The Applicant must speak Assamese or any other State language fluently.
Educational Qualification
Multitasking & Maintenance Staff-II (Non-Technical): Minimum Class VIII passed from a recognized School or Institution and maximum qualification will be HSSLC or Class XII passed from recognized Board or Council.
Multitasking & Maintenance Staff-I (Technical): Minimum Class VIII passed from a recognized School or Institution and maximum qualification will be HSSLC or Class XII passed from recognized Board or Council.
Other Certificates Required (carrying 5 marks each)
- Cook: Training Certificate issued by Sector Skill Council (SSC) OR Minimum 01 (one) year working experience Certificate from a recognized/registered Cooking Institution or Hotel.
- Barber: Training Certificate issued by Sector Skill Council (SSC) OR Minimum 01 (one) year experience Certificate from registered Saloon/Beauty Parlour.
- Water Carrier: Training Certificate issued by Sector Skill Council (SSC).
- Dhobi: Training Certificate issued by Sector Skill Council (SSC) OR Minimum 01 (one) year experience Certificate from a registered Laundry/Dry Cleaner.
- Cobbler: Training Certificate issued by Sector Skill Council (SSC) OR Two years' experience in leather work such as preparation of shoes from Central/State Government Institution.
- Plumber: Minimum one year Certificate course from a recognized Industrial Training Institution/Vocational Institute.

- 02 (two) years' experience certificate on Dresser (Medical) work from a Govt. recognized Institute.
- Trade skill including knowledge on contamination, sterilization and disinfection of instruments, preparation of chlorine solution, antiseptic & aseptic condition, procedure of decontamination, Cleaning & Bandaging wounds and other affected body parts.
For Nurse:
- Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) from a Govt. Medical College.
For Craft Instructor:
- H.S.L.C or Class-X passed from Govt. recognized Board or Council.
- Certificate in Bamboo & Cane work/Tailoring/Weaving/Soap making from ITI or such other recognized Institute.
For Craft Helper:

- Age Relaxation:

- The age will be calculated on the basis of the date of birth as per educational qualification Certificate issued by the Competent Authority of the School/Institution last studied or birth Certificate issued by the Health Department.
- Documents like Horoscope, Affidavit, Birth Extract from Municipal Corporation, Service Record etc. will NOT be accepted.

Selection Process
- Medical Examination
- Physical Standard Test (PST) - No marks, qualifying in nature
- Trade Proficiency Test (TPT) - 50 Marks (33% qualifying marks)
- Preliminary Identity Verification using Admit Card and Identity Proof (Aadhaar Card/Voter ID/Driving Licence etc.)
- Biometric verification before appearing in PST & TPT and at the time of exit
- Final merit lists will be prepared based on marks scored in the Trade Proficiency Test
- In case of tie in marks, older applicants will be placed higher; if same date of birth and equal marks, higher height will be considered
Physical Standards
Physical Fitness
- Must have sound health both mentally and physically and free from organic defect or bodily infirmity likely to interfere with the efficient performance of duty.
- Shall be required to undergo medical examination before appointment to the service.
- Weight: Proportionate to height as per medical standard.
Medical Standards
- Applicant must be in good mental and bodily health and free from physical deformities.
- Must be free from diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, hernia, piles, respiratory diseases, knock-knee, flat foot or any other physical deformity.
- Should not be colour blind or squint eyed.
- Eye Sight: Distance vision should be 6/6 for at least one eye and not poorer than 6/9 for the other without correction. Near vision should be normal.
- Varicose vein shall be considered as temporary disqualification.
General Information
- The present number of vacancies is tentative in nature and subject to final clearance by the Government.
- Vacancies are subject to change and may increase or decrease at any time/stage of recruitment process.
- Applicants must register in the application portal only once for all Advertisements. Multiple Application IDs using different mobile numbers will lead to cancellation.
- Applicants must register with their name exactly as per Class VI/Class VIII/HSLC Certificate/Birth Certificate.
- No document will be accepted after completion of PST & TPT. All documents should be issued on or before 22-02-2026.
- No TA/DA will be admissible to Applicants for journey and stay during any stage of recruitment.
- Incomplete/defective/invalid applications will be summarily rejected.
- Appointees will have to sign an agreement to serve a minimum period of 3 years or refund the cost of training and travelling expenses.
- Selected Applicants will be required to join and work in any District or Unit anywhere in the State of Assam.
- Final appointment is subject to satisfactory Police Verification Report and Final Medical Examination Report.
- CCTV will be installed for recording each event of PST and Trade Proficiency Test.
How to Apply
- Register on the application portal with valid mobile number and accurate information including Employment Exchange Number, Highest Qualification, District, Gender, Caste/Category, Date of Birth, and Aadhaar Number.
- After successful registration, an Application ID will be generated.
- Login using Application ID or Registered Mobile Number along with Date of Birth.
- Apply for the relevant Advertisement and upload necessary documents including passport size photograph (max 450 KB in JPEG/JPG/PNG), digital signature (max 100 KB), proof of age, educational certificates, experience/training certificates, Employment Exchange Registration Card, Aadhaar Card, and Caste Certificate (if applicable).
- Select post preferences (if applicable).
- Fill in personal details and enter academic details carefully.
- Generate OTP and download the Acknowledgement Slip.
