Eligibility Criteria

Qualifications

• Lab Technician: 10+2 with science or above qualification with two-year Diploma in Laboratory Assistant Course or having Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology Course from any recognised Institution/State Medical Faculty/J&K Paramedical Council.
• Technical Assistant Lab: 10+2 with science or above qualification with two-year Diploma in Laboratory Assistant Course or having Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology Course from any recognised Institution/State Medical Faculty/J&K Paramedical Council.
• Public Health Nurse: 10+2 with science having two Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery/B.Sc Nursing from any recognised Institution/State Medical Faculty/J&K Paramedical Council.
• EEG Technician: Graduation with two-year Diploma Course in electroencephalograph from any recognised Institute/J&K Para Medical Council.
• Theatre Technical Assistant/Technical Theatre Assistant: 10+2 with science or above qualification with two-year Diploma or Degree in Operation Theatre Technology Course from any recognised Institution/State Medical Faculty/J&K Paramedical Council.
• Speech Therapist: 10+2 with science or above qualification with two-year Diploma or Degree in Speech Therapy Course from any recognised Institution/State Medical Faculty/J&K Paramedical Council.
• Technical Assistant (Anaesthesia): 10+2 with science or above qualification with two-year Diploma in Anaesthesia Assistant Course from any recognised Institution/State Medical Faculty/J&K Paramedical Council.
• Technical Assistant (ENT): 10+2 with science or above qualification with two-year Diploma in Laboratory Assistant Course or having Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology Course from any recognised Institution/State Medical Faculty/J&K Paramedical Council.
• Refractionist: B.Sc or above having two-year Diploma or Degree in Refractionist course from any recognised institute.
• Radiographic Technician: B.Sc or above having two-year Diploma in X-Ray Assistant Course or having Degree in X-Ray Technology/Radiography Course from recognised Institution/State Medical Faculty/J&K Paramedical Council.
• Physiotherapist: Graduation with two-year Diploma or Degree in Physiotherapy from any recognised Institution.
• Dental Technician: 10+2 with science or above qualification with two-year Diploma in Dental Assistant Course from any recognised Institution/State Medical Faculty/J&K Paramedical Council.
• Junior Staff Nurse: 10+2 with science having Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery/B.Sc Nursing from any recognised Institution/State Medical Faculty/J&K Paramedical Council.
• CSSD Technical Assistant: 10+2 with science or above qualification with two-year Diploma or Degree in Operation Theatre Technology Course from any recognised Institution/State Medical Faculty/J&K Paramedical Council.

Essential Qualifications

• Candidates must be domiciles of UT of Jammu & Kashmir.
• Valid Registration Certificate from J&K Para Medical Council is mandatory.
• The eligibility criteria shall be considered in accordance with Govt. Order No. 670-JK(HME) of 2022 dated 19-09-2022.

Salary/Stipend

• Level-6 Posts: Rs 35,400 - Rs 1,12,400 per month (Lab Technician, EEG Technician, Refractionist, Radiographic Technician, Physiotherapist)
• Level-4 Posts: Rs 25,500 - Rs 81,100 per month (Technical Assistant Lab, Public Health Nurse, Theatre Technical Assistant, Speech Therapist, Technical Assistant Anaesthesia, Technical Assistant ENT, Dental Technician, Junior Staff Nurse, CSSD Technical Assistant)
• The candidates shall be paid salary as per SO-364 dated 27-11-2020.
• The engagement shall be for an initial period of one year, extendable on yearly basis for a maximum period of six years (one year at a time) subject to good performance and conduct or till the posts are filled up on regular basis through the competent authority, whichever is earlier.

Age Limit 

• Maximum Age: 63 years as on cut-off date (As per S.O 364 of 2020)
• The last date for the receipt of applications as per notification shall be the cut-off date for determining the eligibility.

• Application Fee: Rs 500/- (Non-Refundable) through online mode
• All applicants are required to pay the application fee online during the application process.

Selection Process

• The selection shall be done on the basis of the marks secured in the written exam (MCQ type).
• The provision of J&K Reservation Act and rules made therein as amended from time to time shall govern the selections.
• No weightage shall be given to any qualification higher than the prescribed minimum qualification for the post.
• The candidature of all applicants shall be considered provisional subject to verification of eligibility.
• The appointing authority reserves the right to cancel the candidature at any stage without assigning any reason/notice.

General Information/Instructions

• The engagement shall not confer upon the appointee any preferential right or claim for regularization or for substantive appointment under the normal process of selection/appointment.
• The services of an appointee under these terms shall be liable to termination at any time before expiry of the tenure of the appointment on one month's notice from either side or on filling of the posts up on substantive basis, whichever is earlier.
• The number of posts may be increased/decreased at any stage as per the requirement of the Institution without any further notice.
• The Selection Committee reserves the right to withhold or cancel the filling up of any post/posts in part or in full in view of any administrative exigencies without assigning any reason thereof.
• The application forms found incomplete in any manner during the scrutiny of applications shall be rejected without any prior notice to the applicant.
• Application form submitted without a valid Registration Certificate from the J&K Para Medical Council shall be rejected outrightly.
• Candidates must not furnish any information or document that is false, incorrect or misleading and must not suppress any material fact; if found guilty, the candidate shall be debarred from applying for a period of two years in addition to any other action as may be deemed appropriate under rules.
• No application shall be entertained after the last date of submission of the application forms.
• Candidates intending to apply for the aforementioned posts are hereby advised to thoroughly adhere to the prescribed eligibility and selection criteria. Applications from candidates found ineligible as per these criteria shall be summarily rejected, and such candidates shall have no entitlement or claim to appointment.
• These are purely academic arrangement basis posts under SO-364 dated 27-11-2020.
