Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates Should Posses M.Phil/Ph.D
- UG and PG in relevant branch/department / specialization, PhD must be awarded in relevant field. PhD Submitted will not be considered.
- Experience in ‘institutes of repute’ for the prescribed period in regular position only with a proper scale of pay. (Guest, Ad-hoc, visiting positions will not be considered.)

- For SC/ST, PWD, Women candidates and serving faculty of NIT Meghalaya: NIL

Selection Process
- Stage I- Candidates shortlisted after the scrutiny of applications shall be asked to make an Academic/Research presentation before an expert committee.
- Stage II- The candidates shortlisted from Stage I shall be called for a personal interview. However, eligible serving candidates of NIT Meghalaya shall have to attend only Stage II of the selection process.

- Candidates willing to apply for the posts advertised are requested to apply through online portal URL: https://nitm.ac.in/recruitment and send the filled in downloaded online application form duly singed along with credit point summary sheet, and self-attested supporting documents such as relevant testimonials, application fees, certificates, age proof, educational certificates, experience certificates, proof of applicable application fee, etc., by speed/ registered posts to the Registrar, National Institute of Technology Meghalaya, Saitsohpen Sohra, East Khasi Hills, Meghalaya, India – 793108. The Envelope containing the application form must be superscribed as Advertisement No. ..........….Dated……….Post Applied for…….....................…………Department ……….
- Online application form and other details will be available on the Institute website (https://nitm.ac.in/) from 12 noon of 26.12.2025.
- Interested candidates must fill-in on-line application form which will be made available on the Institute website (https://nitm.ac.in/).
- The last date for receipt of the online application forms will be 23.01.2026 by 11:45 pm. The hard copy application needs to be sent by 30.01.2026.
General Instructions and Information
- Incomplete application, application received without Payment Receipt (when applicable), application not in the prescribed form and application without attachments of certificates/mark sheets, proof of date of birth, caste certificate, etc. will be rejected.
- Candidates are instructed to fill in the correct “SBI Collect Reference Number”, which will be auto-generated after the fee payment is correctly made, in the online application form. The reference number should match with that in the Payment Receipt received from the bank. Applications with randomly entered “SBI Collect Reference Number” will be rejected.
- The printout of filled-in application form should be retained by the candidate and will be produced during the time of the interview.
- Mere fulfilment of minimum qualification and experience do not entitle a candidate to be called for the interview.
- Candidates must possess the requisite educational qualifications, experience, and age on the last date of online application as declared in the advertisement / Institute Website.
- Applicants are advised to provide phone numbers and e-mail address in their own interest to facilitate prompt communication. If short-listed, all communications regarding interview, etc. will be made preferably through e- mail.
- The applicants are advised/required to visit the Institute website https://nitm.ac.in/ regularly. The list of candidates shortlisted for further participation in the selection process such as presentation/interview etc. will be displayed on the Institute website only.
- Applicants willing to apply for more than one -post / department must fill up separate application forms and deposit separate fees for each of the posts being applied.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending test / interview.
- Any information furnished and certificates provided if found false, tampered, mutilated or suppressed and noticed at a later date shall be considered as disqualification for the post.
- Any corrigendum/addendum or modification, if any, would appear only on the Institute website (https://nitm.ac.in/) and will not be published in any Newspaper.
- All information and updates in respect of the advertisement will be uploaded only on the Institute website (www.nitm.ac.in) and will not be published in any Newspaper. Candidates are advised to check the Institute website frequently.
- Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
- Legal disputes, if any, with National Institute of Technology Meghalaya will be restricted within the jurisdiction of Sohra, Meghalaya only.
