Sub : Recruitment to the cadre of Postal Assistants / Sorting Assistants in Karnataka Postal Circle
Applications in the prescribed format are called for from candidates for the posts of Postal Assistants in Post Offices, Circle/Regional offices, SBCO,and Sorting Assistants in Railway Mail Services.
Vacancy details :
1)Postal Assistants in Post Offices : 248 vacancies
2)Sorting Assistants in Railway Mail Services : 54
3)Postal Assistant s in Circle Office/Regional Office, Savings Bank Control Organisation : 48
Age : Those who are in the age group of 18-25 with usual relaxations for reserved categories with PUC as the minimum qualification are eligible to apply
Prospectus containing eligibility conditions such as age, qualification, etc., recruitment procedure, prescribed application
form , can be obtained from all the Head Post Offices and main Sub Post Offices situated in Taluk Head Quarters from 20th August, 2010 on payment of Rs.25/- by cash at the concerned Post Office counter.
Applications can also be downloaded from the website www.indiapost.gov.in Applications downloaded from website
should be affixed with Postage Stamps worth of Rs. 25/-. Those applications downloaded without prescribed Postage Stamps affixed, will not be considered
Application duly completed along with attested copies of the certificates should be submitted to the officer concerned mentioned in column 10 above on or before 5th October, 2010 by Registered Post or Speed Post only. Applications sent by other means will not be considered.
The short listed candidates will be called for aptitude/Typing/ Computer Test to be held on 14-11-2010 (Sunday) at 10.00 AM simultaneously in all Centres.
