Note: As per Government Order No. 07-46/2021 dated 29.09.2022, 87% posts are reserved for Madhya Pradesh domicile candidates and 13% posts are for direct recruitment.

Eligibility Criteria

Qualifications

• Candidates must possess a Graduate degree in Agriculture from a recognized University
• Knowledge of Hindi at High School level (Class 10) is mandatory
• Candidates should have studied Hindi or Sanskrit at matriculation level or above
• Degree must be from UGC recognized University or Institution

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or allied subjects from recognized University
• Hindi language proficiency at Class 10 level or equivalent
• Valid domicile certificate of Madhya Pradesh (for reserved category candidates)
• Must fulfill all the conditions mentioned in the notification

Desirable

• Experience in agricultural extension work
• Knowledge of farming practices and rural development
• Working knowledge of agricultural schemes and programs
• Computer proficiency and MS Office knowledge

Experience

• No prior experience is mandatory for direct recruitment candidates
• Fresh agriculture graduates can apply
• Relevant field experience in agriculture extension will be an added advantage
• Experience in government agricultural departments will be preferred

Salary/Stipend

• Pay Scale: ₹15,600 - ₹39,100 per month
• Grade Pay: ₹5,400
• Pay Band: PB-3 as per pay matrix
• Dearness Allowance: As applicable as per Government norms
• House Rent Allowance: As per posting location
• Transport Allowance: As per Government rules
• Other Benefits: Medical facilities, LTC, pension benefits and other admissible allowances as per state government rules

• Payment Mode: Online through Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI
• Portal Fee: ₹50/- (Non-Refundable) for all categories
• Correction Fee Period: 25.05.2026 to 31.05.2026 (till 12:00 noon) - ₹3,000/-
• Final Submission Fee Period: 01.06.2026 to 28.10.2026 (till 12:00 noon) - ₹25,000/-
• Application fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances
• Candidates must keep the payment receipt for future reference
• Fee exemption is available only for eligible categories as per rules

Selection Process

• The selection will be conducted through a competitive examination process
• Preliminary Examination: Objective type examination with multiple choice questions
• Total Questions: 100 questions
• Total Marks: 200 marks
• Examination Duration: 2 hours
• Negative Marking: 1/3 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer
• Qualifying Nature: The preliminary examination is of qualifying nature
• Candidates who qualify the preliminary examination will be eligible for the main examination
• Main Examination: Written examination on subjects related to agriculture and extension
• Interview/Personality Test: Qualified candidates from main examination will be called for interview
• Final selection will be based on the combined performance in main examination and interview
• Merit list will be prepared category-wise based on total marks obtained
• Selected candidates will be appointed subject to verification of documents and medical fitness
