Kerala TET Eligibility Details: Kerala Government conducts Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET) 2012 to select teachers for Category I (Lower Primary classes), Category II (Upper Primary classes) and Category III (High School classes). The Test will be conducted by Pareeksha Bhavan, Kerala in accordance with the guidelines published by State Council of Educational Research and Training, Kerala (SCERT Kerala) and such other Rules/Regulations/Instructions/Policies laid down by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE)/Department of General Education/Govt.of Kerala. Kerala TET Exam eligibility details are given below…
Educational Qualification:
1. For Category –I: 50% marks in Higher secondary /Senior Secondary and should have minimum two year Trained Teacher’s Certificate (TTC) conducted by Board of examination of Kerala.
OR
45% marks in Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary and two year Diploma in Elementary Education. (B.El.Ed.)
2. For Category –II: Should posses B.A/B.Sc/B.Com two year Diploma in Elementary Education/Trained Teachers’ Certificate (TTC)
OR
Higher Secondary/Senior secondary with 4 year Bachelor Degree in elementary education
OR
B.A(Ed)/B.Sc(Ed)/B.ED(Ed) with at least 50% marks and one year B.Ed.
3. For Category –III: Master degree in concerned subject and a B.Ed Degree in concerned subject from Kerala or other equivalent recognized university.
OR
For Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology, those who have MSc.Ed. Degree in the subject concerned with not less than 50% marks from one of the Regional Institutes of Education sponsored by NCERT.
