Eligibility Criteria

• Essential Qualification: Ph.D in Genetics & Plant Breeding/Seed Science and Technology OR Master's degree in Genetics & Plant Breeding/Seed Science and Technology with 4/5 years of bachelor's degree having 1st division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average.
• Experience: At least three years of research experience as evidenced from fellowship/associateship/training/other engagements as circulated vide F No 2-9/2012-HRD dated 25-04-2014.
• Research Publication: One research paper in Science Citation Index (SCI)/NAAS rated (≥ 4) Journal as per OM SR/S9/Z-09/2018 of DST dated 30-01-2019.
• Project: Dynamics of Agricultural Innovation in North India and South India funded by CGIAR, project period up to 31 March 2027.

Salary / Stipend

• Rs 61,000/- per month + HRA for Master’s degree holders.
• Rs 67,000/- per month + HRA for Ph.D holders.
• Emoluments may be paid as per satisfaction of the work by the Principal Investigator and fund availability by the funding agency.

Age Limit (as on last date of application submission)

• Age limit: Not more than 40 years as on the last date of application submission.
• Age relaxation of five years for SC/ST/woman candidates.
• Age relaxation up to 10 years for Differently Abled candidates.
• Age relaxation of 3 years for OBC (non-creamy layer) candidates as per Govt. of India/ICAR Rules.

Selection Process

• Applications will be screened and only shortlisted candidates will be intimated by e-mail and phone for interview.
• The decision of the Director of the institute will be final and binding in all aspects.
• The Director reserves the right to terminate the contract of job even before the completion of the project and no appeal shall be entertained.

General Information / Instructions

• Candidates are requested to ensure their eligibility like age, qualification etc. before appearing for the interview.
• Candidates having essential qualification will only be considered for interview.
• No TA/DA and official accommodation will be provided for appearing in the interview.
• The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project and the selected candidate has no right to claim for regularization or absorption in ICAR/NBPGR.
• Candidates are required to send scanned pdf copy of all the relevant certificates/mark sheets etc. with an application with full bio-data affixing a passport size photograph on the top.
• The originals will be verified at the time of joining.
• If any information of the candidate is found to be incorrect or concealing any facts, his/her candidature to the interview/selection to the post is liable to be cancelled at any stage.
• In case of any disputes, it will be resolved in the jurisdiction of New Delhi only.
