Eligibility Criteria
- Essential Qualification
- Post Code 3359 (PAT-I): M.Sc. (Electronics/ Physics/ Applied Physics/ Applied Electronics/ E&I) or BE/ B.Tech in relevant branches (EEE/ Electronics/ EE/ ECE/ Electronics & Instrumentation/ Optoelectronics/ Microelectronics/ Applied Physics/ Nanotechnology/ Electronics/ Microelectronics/ VLSI Design/ Instrumentation) or equivalent.
- Post Code 3360 (Project Technical Support-III): Three Years Graduate degree in relevant subject/field + three Years experience or PG in relevant subject/field OR Four Years Graduate Degree in Engineering/IT/CS. Specializations in Electronics/Embedded System/ECE/EE/EEE/Instrumentation/Control System/Power Electronics/Electrical/Computer/Robotics/Mechanical/Physics/Computer Science/IT/AI/ML/Data Science etc., preferably with knowledge of ROS, Gazebo, RViz, CV, NLP, LLM GenAI etc.
- Post Code 3360 (Project Technical Support-I): 10th + Diploma (MLT/DMLT/ITI or equivalent) + two Years experience OR Three years Graduate degree + one year experience in relevant specializations (Electronics/Electrical/Computer/Robotics/Mechanical/Physics/Computer Science/IT/AI/ML/Data Science etc.).
- Post Code 3361 (PAT-I): B.E./ B.Tech. in relevant branches (EEE/ Electronics/ EE/ ECE/ Electronics & Instrumentation/ Microelectronics/ Mechanical/ Applied Physics/ Instrumentation) or equivalent OR M.Sc. (Electronics/ Physics/ Applied Electronics/ E&I) or equivalent.
- Post Code 3361 (Project Assistant-II): B.Sc./ 3 Years Diploma.
- Post Code 3362 (PAT-I): B.E./ B.Tech./ M.Sc. in relevant branches (Electronics/ ECE/ EEE/ Electronics & Instrumentation/ Electrical Engg./ Electronics & Telecommunication/ Microwave/Mechatronics/MEMS/Physics) or equivalent.
- Note: Candidates with above qualifications without experience can also apply for PAT-I positions.
Salary/ Stipend
- PAT-I: ₹31,000/- + HRA (for NET/GATE qualified or national level selection) OR ₹25,000/- + HRA (others).
- Project Technical Support-III: Rs. 28,000/- (fixed).
- Project Technical Support-I: Rs. 18,000/- (fixed).
- Project Assistant-II: Rs. 20,000/- (fixed).
- HRA admissible as per CSIR guidelines and subject to availability of funds in the project.
Age Limit (as on 14 January 2026)
- PAT-I: 35 Years
- Project Technical Support-III: 35 Years
- Project Technical Support-I: 28 Years
- Project Assistant-II: Age limit not specified separately (general upper age applies).
- Relaxation: 05 years for SC/ST/PwBD/Women, 03 years for OBC as per Govt. of India instructions.

Selection Process

- Positions are purely temporary, co-terminus with projects (initially 6 months, extendable based on performance, max total tenure 6 years across CSIR).
- Previous service in CSIR (total >6 years) disqualifies.
- Reservation/preference for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/EWS as per rules.
